About the Role
<p>Apply to join our growing <strong>Operations & Maintenance Team</strong> as an <strong>Operations & Maintenance Engineer</strong>.</p><p><br></p><p>As an O&M Engineer, you will work within an existing team and will be assigned tasks and responsibilities across the entire operations and maintenance cycle including preventative and corrective maintenance, enhancements and rehabilitation, as well as predictive and conditional maintenance. You will be involved in periodical planning and reporting and will be expected to utilize the full suite of our digital operation platforms. On occasion, you will supervise and manage the activities of other team members such as O&M field technicians and subcontractors. </p><p><br></p><p>You will report to the O&M Team Lead of your assigned team.</p><p><br></p><p><u>Your main tasks and responsibilities are:</u></p><ol><li>Regular monitoring and inspection </li><li>Carry out all preventive and corrective maintenance, whether individually or with the support of other team members</li><li><span style="white-space:pre;">Regular</span> field presence</li><li>Respond to emergency call outs</li><li>Ensure that all O&M activities performed at project sites complies with OEM (original equipment manufacturer) requirements and warranties</li><li>Co-ordinate with OEM vendors for equipment maintenance</li><li>Identify problems and develop corrective action plans</li><li>Scheduling and execution of preventive and predictive maintenance</li><li>Perform electric, hydraulic, mechanical and software component inspections, testing, repair, and troubleshooting, in accordance with its specifications</li><li>Provide timely written reports as requested</li><li>When required and instructed, supervision of other team members and/or subcontractors</li><li>Proper care and maintenance of all Company tools and equipment</li><li>Record and report all faults, deficiencies and other unusual occurrences</li><li>Performance testing, analysis and error diagnostics</li><li>Rectify faults, issue maintenance reports and respond to maintenance tickets</li><li>Supervise and report subcontractor work, when and as required</li><li>Compliance with Company policies, procedures and SOPs</li><li>Compliance with OHS procedures and objectives</li></ol><p><br></p><p><u>Your preferred skillset is:</u></p><ul><li>Degree in Engineering, preferably within Renewable Energy, Electrical Power Engineering, or Electrical Engineering;</li><li>Experience in the operations and maintenance of electrical systems, with strong preference of least 2+ years of experience within the solar photovoltaic generation plants</li><li>Strong understanding of grid-tied, off-grid and hybrid PV system design and installation, commissioning procedures, shut down / LOTO procedures, programming, troubleshooting, monitoring and repair</li><li>Knowledge of the relevant codes and standards and the ability to use and reference the Code as required</li><li>Proficiency in reading and understanding electrical diagrams, including wiring diagrams, single line diagrams and other electrical and mechanical diagrams typical of such installations</li><li>Proficient skills with computers including Windows OS (multiple versions), Microsoft Office and document/content creation</li><li>Positive ‘can-do’ attitude and creative problem solving ability required</li><li>Ability to work both under close direction and in a self-directed manner, as needed</li><li>Valid driver’s license is required</li><li>This position may require significant afterhours work</li><li>English language professional-level proficiency is obligatory</li></ul><p><br></p>
