About the Role

Division: Group Digital Capabilities (GDC)

The role:

Emerging technologies such as Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT), cloud, artificial intelligence and API coupled with strategic trends such as ESG could be game-changers for our industry. Euroclear seeks to seize opportunities created by these new technologies and strategic trends to develop product, services and capabilities addressing market inefficiencies and strengthen Euroclear market infrastructure role.

The Innovation tribe within IT is the delivery arm of these game changing digital capabilities, across business lines and entities. To support its growth and ambitions, we are reinforcing the team with a Test Automation Engineer to be working within a fast paced truly agile environment.

A Test Automation Engineer serves as part of the software delivery activities, with a focus on writing automated tests and perform manual testing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the product owner and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and translate them into test cases and scenarios and automate them. 
  • Design, implement, and execute automated test cases for both API and web applications to validate functionality, performance, and user experience. 
  • Demonstrate willingness to learn new technologies and tackle additional responsibilities

Must have:

  • 3-5 years professional experience with C#, or TypeScript, or Java or other object-oriented programming languages.
  • Demonstrated understanding of semantic HTML, CSS.
  • Good knowledge of API testing and UI testing framework (Selenium, or Playwright or Cypress).
  • Experience using Git in a professional/workplace environment.
  • Deep knowledge of quality and how to improve quality processes.
  • Demonstrated experience working whole software development life cycle within an agile context
  • Good knowledge of SQL.

Nice to have:

  • Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB Certified Tester) or relevant professional certifications. 
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud and Devops.
  • Experience with Angular.
  • Experience with Test Driven Development.
  • Experience in continuous deployment and integration.
