About the Role

Description

Specialized Personal Trainer (Adaptive Fitness)
Part-Time - 10.25 hours per week


Schedule:
Tuesday: 3:15 PM–5:15 PM
Wednesday: 3:15 PM–7:00 PM
Thursday: 4:45 PM–6:15 PM
Friday: 2:45 PM–5:45 PM

Additional hours may be available through instructional classes or Adaptive PE (on-site or off-site).


Make a Difference Through Movement
The Kennedy Collective is seeking a part-time Specialized Personal Trainer for our Autism Health & Fitness Center. This role provides individualized, adaptive fitness instruction to members with autism in a safe, structured, and inclusive environment.

  What You’ll Do

  • Deliver and adapt Individual Fitness Plans (IFPs)
  • Create a safe, engaging, and inclusive fitness environment
  • Demonstrate proper form and fitness techniques
  • Track progress using technology and provide updates as needed
  • Communicate member progress or concerns to the Program Director
  • Support safe transitions into and out of training sessions

Requirements


What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working with individuals with autism or other special needs
  • Background in fitness or athletic training preferred
  • Strong communication and rapport-building skills
  • Current (or willingness to obtain) ISSA or NASM certification, CPR, and PMT
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
