About the Role

We employ dentists in the specialties of general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, orthodontics, endodontics, periodontics, oral surgery and prosthodontics. Our network of high-standard professionals provides exceptional care to our patients throughout Connecticut!

Currently, we are looking for a part-time Dental Hygienist to join our family. Candidate should have a strong work-ethic and be a team player. Recent graduates are welcomed!

Specific job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Perform dental hygiene services and procedures, including dental prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, application of fluoride and sealants
  • Detect disease by completing oral cancer screening; feeling and visually examining gums, using probes to locate periodontal disease and to assess levels of recession
  • Selection of materials and equipment for dental hygiene visit by evaluating patient’s oral health
  • Educate patients by giving oral hygiene and plaque control instructions and postoperative instructions
  • Document dental hygiene services by recording vital signs, medical and dental histories, and charting in patient charts
  • Sterilization of equipment
  • Take x-rays as necessary and as recommended by the ADA

Requirements

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to follow outlined policies and guidelines
  • Possess a professional and positive attitude
  • Associate’s degree from an accredited dental hygiene program
  • Valid license to practice in Connecticut (Registered Dental Hygienist, RDH)
  • Available to work within current office hours, specific shifts to be determined:
