<div><strong>Chief Technology Officer (CTO)</strong></div><div><br><strong>Location: Chennai, India<br><br>&nbsp;Type: Full-Time</strong></div><div><br></div><div><strong>Experience: 10 - 20 Years<br><br>&nbsp;Reports to: CEO</strong><br><br><br><strong>Key Responsibilities<br></strong><strong>Technology Strategy &amp; Vision<br></strong><br>Define and execute a forward-looking technology strategy aligned with business goals.<br>Identify and evaluate emerging technologies to maintain a competitive advantage in security, scalability, and performance.<br>Develop and oversee the technical roadmap for platform growth and innovation.<br><br><strong>Product Development</strong><br>Lead the end-to-end design, development, and deployment of a secure, scalable, and high-performance cryptocurrency exchange platform.<br>Collaborate with product and compliance teams to ensure the platform meets user needs and industry regulations.<br>Promote best practices in software development, architecture, and testing.<br><br><strong>Team Leadership<br></strong>Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing engineering organization.<br>Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.<br>Recruit and retain top technical talent, while providing guidance and career development opportunities.</div><div><br></div><div><strong>Infrastructure &amp; Operations<br></strong>Oversee the development and maintenance of resilient, secure, and scalable infrastructure tailored for cryptocurrency trading.<br>Implement robust cybersecurity measures to safeguard against hacks, fraud, and DDoS attacks, while ensuring compliance with KYC/AML, GDPR, and other regulations.<br>Manage partnerships with third-party vendors, cloud providers, and technology partners.<br><br><strong>Cross-Functional Collaboration<br></strong>Work closely with the CEO, COO, and other executives to align technology with business strategy.<br>Partner with marketing, compliance, and customer success teams to support product launches and user satisfaction.<br>Communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively to non-technical stakeholders, investors, and partners.<br><strong>Innovation &amp; Growth<br></strong>Drive R&amp;D initiatives to explore and implement new features such as DeFi integrations, advanced wallet solutions, and trading tools.<br>Evaluate and introduce modern tools, frameworks, and processes to enhance efficiency and platform performance.<br>Support fundraising by presenting the company’s technology vision to investors and stakeholders.</div><div><br><strong>Qualifications<br></strong><strong>Experience<br></strong>10+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role (CTO, VP of Engineering, or equivalent).<br>Proven success in leading technology teams in startups or high-growth companies, preferably in fintech or cryptocurrency.<br>Hands-on experience scaling financial systems or trading platforms with millions of users.<br>Strong background with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern programming languages (Python, Go, JavaScript, etc.).<br><strong>Technical Skills<br></strong>Expertise in cybersecurity best practices, wallet security, encryption, and compliance frameworks.<br>Experience with API integrations, microservices, real-time data processing, and high-frequency trading systems.<br>Familiarity with Agile/DevOps methodologies and continuous delivery.</div><div><br></div><div><strong>Leadership &amp; Soft Skills</strong><br>Strong leadership and team-building capabilities with a track record of developing high-performing teams.<br>Strategic thinker with outstanding problem-solving abilities.<br>Excellent communication skills; able to present complex ideas to technical and non-technical audiences alike.<br>Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, resource-constrained startup environment.<br><br><strong>Education<br></strong>Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).<br>Advanced degrees or certifications (MBA, PMP) are a plus but not required.<br><br><br><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong><br>Previous CTO or equivalent leadership role in a fintech/crypto startup that scaled successfully.<br>Strong presence in the technology community or contributions to open-source projects.<br>Deep knowledge of blockchain, cryptocurrency trading systems, or decentralized finance (DeFi).<br><br><br><strong>What We Offer<br></strong>Competitive salary with equity options.<br>Comprehensive health insurance coverage.<br>Flexible work environment with opportunities in Chennai.<br>A collaborative, innovative startup culture with passionate professionals.<br>Opportunity to shape the future of one of India’s leading cryptocurrency exchanges.</div>
