About the Role
 

Position Overview:

Are you an experienced arborist looking to work in urban tree care? Strathmore is seeking skilled professionals to join our crew in Montreal. 

This role involves performing a variety of tree work in residential, commercial, and municipal settings, including pruning, removals and stump grinding, Effective communication with clients (municipal and residential) and managing your crew to ensure efficiency and safety are crucial. The role is full-time Monday to Friday, with occasional on-call or after-hours work.

We welcome both international and Canadian applicants. Applicants from outside of Quebec must have the equivalency of a Quebec Class 3 Driver’s License

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute safe tree service operations following project guidelines
  • Work according to industry standards and best practice
  • Operate and maintain equipment such as saws, chippers, stump grinders, pruners, ropes, and rigging gear
  • Safely drive our bucket truck and other vehicles as needed
  • Maintain a safe work site
  • Perform work according to schedule
  • Other related tasks and duties

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in arboriculture.

  • Class 3 driver’s license (or out-of-province equivalent) with a clean driving history.

  • Knowledge of local trees, shrubs, and plants.

  • ISA certification or DEP in arboriculture

  • Ability to communicate orally in French, English is an asset.
