About the Role

<div>We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Head of Lending to lead and grow our microfinance lending portfolio, with a strong focus on supporting sari-sari stores and small-scale entrepreneurs in the provinces. This role will be responsible for the overall lending operations including P&L management, sales and collections leadership, credit scoring strategy, and operational reporting. </div><div> </div><div>Key Responsibilities: P&L Management</div><ul><li>Own and manage the Profit & Loss of the lending business unit.</li><li>Develop and implement strategies to optimize portfolio performance and profitability.</li><li>Monitor key financial metrics and adjust plans to meet targets.</li></ul><div>Leadership of Sales and Collections</div><ul><li>Lead, train, and motivate sales and collection teams across multiple assignments.</li><li>Set and monitor KPIs to ensure loan disbursement and repayment targets are achieved.</li><li>Ensure strong field execution and adherence to credit and collection policies.</li></ul><div>Credit Scoring & Risk Management</div><ul><li>Design and implement a credit scoring system tailored to the needs of sari-sari store owners and informal sector borrowers.</li><li>Establish risk assessment tools and processes to reduce delinquency and defaults.</li></ul><div>Monitoring & Reporting</div><ul><li>Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting mechanisms to track portfolio health, team performance, and customer behavior.</li><li>Provide regular updates and analysis to senior management to support strategic decision-making.</li></ul><div>Community and Market Understanding</div><ul><li>Leverage deep knowledge of sari-sari store operations in the provinces to design borrower-friendly lending products and processes.</li><li>Build relationships with community leaders and partners to enhance borrower outreach and support.</li></ul><div>Qualifications:</div><div> </div><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field (MBA a plus).</li><li>Minimum 5–7 years of experience in microfinance, rural lending, or MSME financing.</li><li>Proven experience managing lending P&L and leading field teams.</li><li>Strong understanding of credit risk management and scoring systems.</li><li>Familiarity with sari-sari store operations and rural micro-entrepreneurship.</li><li>Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills.</li><li>Willingness to travel to provincial branches and field locations regularly.</li></ul>
