About the Role
<div>We are seeking an experienced and results-driven <strong>Head of Lending</strong> to lead and grow our microfinance lending portfolio, with a strong focus on supporting <strong>sari-sari stores and small-scale entrepreneurs in the provinces</strong>. This role will be responsible for the overall lending operations including P&amp;L management, sales and collections leadership, credit scoring strategy, and operational reporting.&nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong><br><br><strong>P&amp;L Management</strong></div><ul><li><span style="font-size: 14px;">Own and manage the Profit &amp; Loss of the lending business unit.</span></li><li><span style="font-size: 14px;">Develop and implement strategies to optimize portfolio performance and profitability.</span></li><li><span style="font-size: 14px;">Monitor key financial metrics and adjust plans to meet targets.</span></li></ul><div><span style="font-size: 14px;"><strong>Leadership of Sales and Collections</strong></span></div><ul><li><span style="font-size: 14px;"><span style="font-size: 14px;">Lead, train, and motivate sales and collection teams across multiple assignments.</span></span></li><li><span style="font-size: 14px;"><span style="font-size: 14px;">Set and monitor KPIs to ensure loan disbursement and repayment targets are achieved.</span></span></li><li><span style="font-size: 14px;"><span style="font-size: 14px;">Ensure strong field execution and adherence to credit and collection policies.</span></span></li></ul><div><span style="font-size: 14px;"><span style="font-size: 14px;"><strong>Credit Scoring &amp; Risk Management</strong></span></span></div><ul><li><span style="font-size: 14px;"><span style="font-size: 14px;"><span style="font-size: 14px;">Design and implement a credit scoring system tailored to the needs of sari-sari store owners and informal sector borrowers.</span></span></span></li><li><span style="font-size: 14px;"><span style="font-size: 14px;"><span style="font-size: 14px;">Establish risk assessment tools and processes to reduce delinquency and defaults.</span></span></span></li></ul><div><strong>Monitoring &amp; Reporting</strong></div><ul><li><span style="font-size: 14px;">Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting mechanisms to track portfolio health, team performance, and customer behavior.</span></li><li><span style="font-size: 14px;">Provide regular updates and analysis to senior management to support strategic decision-making.</span></li></ul><div><span style="font-size: 14px;"><strong>Community and Market Understanding</strong></span></div><ul><li><span style="font-size: 14px;"><span style="font-size: 14px;">Leverage deep knowledge of sari-sari store operations in the provinces to design borrower-friendly lending products and processes.</span></span></li><li><span style="font-size: 14px;"><span style="font-size: 14px;">Build relationships with community leaders and partners to enhance borrower outreach and support.</span></span></li></ul><div><span style="font-size: 14px;"><span style="font-size: 14px;"><strong>Qualifications:</strong></span></span></div><div><br></div><ul><li><span style="font-size: 14px;"><span style="font-size: 14px;">Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field (MBA a plus).</span></span></li><li><span style="font-size: 14px;"><span style="font-size: 14px;"><span style="font-size: 14px;">Minimum 5–7 years of experience in microfinance, rural lending, or MSME financing.</span></span></span></li><li><span style="font-size: 14px;"><span style="font-size: 14px;"><span style="font-size: 14px;">Proven experience managing lending P&amp;L and leading field teams.</span></span></span></li><li><span style="font-size: 14px;"><span style="font-size: 14px;"><span style="font-size: 14px;">Strong understanding of credit risk management and scoring systems.</span></span></span></li><li><span style="font-size: 14px;"><span style="font-size: 14px;"><span style="font-size: 14px;">Familiarity with sari-sari store operations and rural micro-entrepreneurship.</span></span></span></li><li><span style="font-size: 14px;"><span style="font-size: 14px;"><span style="font-size: 14px;">Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills.</span></span></span></li><li>Willingness to travel to provincial branches and field locations regularly.</li></ul>
