About the Role

Location - Jaisalmer

Responsibilty:

 

Plan & Development 

  • Design & detailed engineering of electrical and instrumentation work scope such as the generation of instrument lists, block diagrams, wiring diagrams, cable lists, etc. Liaise with clients, suppliers, contractors, and relevant authorities to drive the project towards successful completion within the scheduled timelines.
  • Prepare specifications and datasheets in accordance with project requirements to ensure technical and regulatory compliances are met.
  • Detail out the project budget, project schedule and resources for internal costing to seek management’ approval before the start of the work.
  • Plan and lead the execution of the project according to the lead time of material availability & manufacturing time.

 

Vendor Finalization and Quality Monitoring 

  • Coordinate with electrical and instrumentation equipment vendors, to ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Selection of electrical equipment types, cable sizes and protection type and review drawings, calculations, design reports, etc. by vendors.
  • Review technical quotes, recommend the selection of suitable electrical equipment and instrumentation, cables and other system components based on project requirements to assist procurement/commercial team.
  • Finalize performance guarantee and applicable LD for non-performance of the vendors.
  • Supervise manufacturing activities by doing timely quality inspections to the vendors/ sub-vendors’ workplace to monitor execution and technical compliances till the final delivery to site.

 

Execution & Outcome

  • Ensure that all standard operating procedures comply with specifications, quality standards, statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Make and implement the Quality Assurance plan capturing the benchmarks and deviations.
  • Extend support to site engineers regarding Instrumentation/Electrical/ Automation.
  • Conduct audits and inspections on site to ensure uninterrupted execution and adherence to EHS and other compliances.
  • Streamline the schedule for performance tests for all packages and commissioning of all the equipment as per SOP, coordinate with relevant stakeholders involved for smooth functioning.

 

Risk Mitigation

  • Identify possible environmental or executional risks and develop risk management strategies for civil engineering projects.
  • Review implementation after discussing with the management.
  • Suggest Value Engineering measures for optimization of cost in terms of material, manpower, time etc. in manufacturing
