Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our Packaging Procurement department for a 10-week internship from June through August of 2026. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to critical procurement process improvements while gaining exposure to packaging operations, supplier performance management, and advanced analytics tools.
The intern will lead two primary deliverables:
- Purchase Order Automation Initiative – Develop the analytical assessment metrics and associated processes to measure the health of our purchase order automation initiative leveraging Logility.
- Supplier Deficiency & Performance Dashboard – Refine the supplier deficiency process to include clear dashboarding and performance metrics that will contribute to a supplier performance scorecard.
Job Responsibilities
- Design and implement metrics to assess the effectiveness of automated purchase order processing.
- Collaborate with procurement and cross-functional teams to document, test, and validate new processes.
- Develop dashboards and reporting mechanisms to track supplier deficiencies and performance.
- Provide insights that inform supplier performance scorecards and procurement decision-making.
- Communicate findings and recommendations clearly through presentations, reports, and stakeholder updates.
- Coordinate tasks, manage timelines, and proactively follow through on commitments.
Required Education and Experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions preferred).
- Experience in data analytics, process design, or related coursework.
- Strong problem-solving skills and initiative to work independently and collaboratively.
- Pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Data Analytics, or related field.
- Year in school: Sophomore, Junior, or Senior.
- Must have at least a 3.0 GPA.
- Must be legally authorized to work for a company in the U.S. without sponsorship both now and in the future.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Knowledge of SAP and Business Objects preferred.
