About the Role

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities to achieve increased market presence to meet and exceed sales targets. 

Description:

  • Create and Own a New Business Plan: Develop a clear strategy to grow business in your market segment. Track progress weekly against pipeline goals, revenue targets, and profit objectives.
  • Drive New Business Growth: Identify, qualify, and secure new clients. Expand our customer base and enter new markets to consistently exceed sales targets.
  • Understand and Communicate Our Value: Gain deep knowledge of all International SOS products and services. Clearly explain how they benefit clients and improve organizational outcomes.
  • Lead Proposal Development: Manage the creation and delivery of RFPs and client proposals, ensuring they are commercially sound and tailored to client needs.
  • Support International Sales Efforts: Collaborate with teams in other regions to grow cross-border sales and support global client initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Experts: Work with subject matter experts to tailor solutions for specific markets or industries, boosting client engagement and sales performance.
  • Contribute to Marketing Strategy: Help design and implement marketing campaigns that support regional business development goals.
  • Leverage Channel Partnerships: Maximize opportunities through partnerships with insurance brokers, insurers, travel management companies, and other regional partners.
  • Monitor Competitors: Stay informed about competitors and position our services effectively to stand out in the market.
  • Use Social Media Strategically: Build your professional brand and generate leads using LinkedIn and other platforms.
  • Represent the Company Professionally: Attend client meetings, industry events, conferences, and exhibitions to promote our brand and share thought leadership.
  • Maintain Accurate Records: Ensure all client interactions and updates are properly recorded in Salesforce.com for transparency and tracking.

Requirements

  • Native level of Japanese 
  • Bachelor's degree or master's Degree in a relevant field is preferred.
  • Proficient verbal and written English
  • Periodic travel to Client sites, team meetings and for training/development session
