By thoughtfully engineering performance, convenience, and design into every product, Midea delivers on the promise of every appliance - to make your life a little easier.</p><p> </p><p><strong>Job Summary</strong></p><p>The Logistics Import Temp will assist in monitoring the progress of import shipments, beginning at the point of origin through the return of empty containers. This role plays a vital part in supporting on-time delivery to customers by closely tracking each step of the shipment process. Success in this position requires a keen attention to detail and a strong commitment to producing high-quality work.</p><p> </p><p><strong>Essential Job Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Track import shipments on shipping line and terminal websites and update key milestone dates on internal inbound tracking report accordingly.</li><li>Notify inbound team members when shipments are nearing and/or past the last free day (LFD) and have not been picked up yet. Follow up daily until shipments have been picked up.</li><li>Collect and send packing lists to drayage carriers.</li><li>Follow up with truckers to ensure they are scheduling delivery appointments timely and provide the list of appointments to IT to send ASNs to customers.</li><li>Inbound delivered containers in Midea ERP system daily.</li><li>Ensure drayage carriers upload signed proof of delivery within 5 days of container delivery.</li><li>Ad hoc projects as assigned.</li></ul><p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Recent graduates in 2024-2025 or graduates at the beginning of the year.</strong></li><li><strong>Start in the period from December to February.</strong></li><li>Organized, responsible, ability to work independently and as a part of a team</li><li>Communication, problem solving, and critical thinking skills</li><li>Basic Excel skills</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Supply Chain & Logistics knowledge</li><li>Intermediate or Advanced Excel skills</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Details and Benefits</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Location: remote <span style="text-decoration: underline;">/Parsippany, NJ 07054</span></strong></li><li>Period: 03 to 04 months / 40hrs. per week depending on academic hours</li><li>Compensation per hour</li></ul><p> </p><p><em>Midea America Corp. is an equal opportunity employer.
