The Opportunity:

Day Shift – Virginia – 6am – 2.30pm

 

We have an exciting opportunity for a Day Shift Machine Operator at Arnott's Virginia. This is a perfect role for a person who has the competency to operate machinery whilst working in a fast-paced environment. If you thrive on challenges and can provide practical solutions to complex problems this role is for you. You will be working on the Assorted Pack line  - this is a fast-paced automated packaging line, packing our Family, Creams and Cheeseboard products. The line runs with 48 Robots, Case Packers & Flow wrappers.

 

The Accountabilities:

  • Set up, changeovers, operating and troubleshooting of equipment within Arnott's OH&S, Quality and Performance Standards
  • Completion of quality control checks online
  • Perform process area cleaning to maintain company compliance, GMP and HACCP standards.
  • Work autonomously and as team member to deliver daily production requirements against performance criteria

 

The Ingredients for Success:

Just like you can’t make a Tim Tam without chocolate, there are a few essential ingredients we need for this role:

  • Previous operating experience in a food manufacturing environment is preferred but not essential 
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and a proven ability to troubleshoot on machines and problem solve the quality attributes of our products
  • Understanding of team, safety, and quality operating principles in a food manufacturing environment
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Automated robot operating experience is preferred , but not essential for those who have machine operating experience and are willing to learn the automated side of things (robot operation and troubleshooting)
  • Able to complete a full medical and mechanical aptitude testing upon request
