Job Description
Purpose:
• Ensure high quality of the 3G/4G/5G networks, of radio accessibility, retainability and mobility.
• Plan, optimize and monitor the network performance based on user experience pro-actively.
• Able to correlate user NPS to network performance and to propose network expansion strategy accordingly
• Develop and execute 5G transition strategies for large-scale infrastructure projects (MRT, tunnels, in-building), ensuring smooth deployment with minimal service impact.
• Execute SRAN 4G network planning and implement optimization initiatives, including additional bands and infrastructure upgrades.
Responsibilities:
• Perform site survey for coverage enhancement and retrofitting tasks
• Perform optimization to provide quality network to end users.
• Perform trend analysis to detect chronic issues, proactively work with cross-functional teams and vendors to develop, and implement corrective action plans.
• Ability to monitor, identify, isolate, correct and assess impact of 3G/4G/5G networks and customer-affecting faults.
• Provide tier 3 support in response to network alarms, customer complaints to assist in emergency restoration during outages and system failures.
• Participate and validate through drive test during software upgrades, tests, and upgrades of network element projects.
• Provide support for projects involving network growth, Integration of corporation networks, and new feature/ service trial and Implementations.
• Proactively evaluate network to minimize complaints and augment quality of service to end-consumers.
• Leverage vendor OSS for performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and data-driven planning.
• Analyse user/network data to identify and resolve interference, spillage, or service degradation.
• Investigate and resolve customer complaints by analysing call traces, performance metrics, and network statistics.
• Conduct verification of MRT, road tunnel, and in-building coverage in preparation for quarterly IMDA QoS assessments.
• Drive optimization actions or escalate issues to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, system integrators, vendors, and building owners to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
• Support Business Case (BC) development and manage procurement workflows using SAP Ariba (Purchase Requisitions, compliance, approvals).
Qualifications
Requirements:
• Bachelor degree in EEE / Computer Science
• Advantage to candidate familiar with 3G/4G/5G technologies and some basic knowledge in programming. E.g. Java / C#, Python, Visual Studio and MySQL
• Possess Class 3 / 3A driving license
• Willing to work night job occasionally
