You’ll collaborate across product design, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality teams to ensure packaging meets functional, regulatory, and environmental standards. This role supports continuous improvement initiatives and aligns packaging strategies with broader business goals to enhance operational efficiency and product success.</p> <h3>&nbsp;</h3> <h3><strong>You Will</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Support the design, validation, and implementation of scalable packaging systems for global automotive programs.</li> <li>Lead cross-functional packaging initiatives across engineering, logistics, manufacturing, and suppliers.</li> <li>Drive standardization and continuous improvement of packaging processes and materials.</li> <li>Oversee packaging specifications, documentation, and ensure compliance with industry standards.</li> <li>Use PackAssistant or equivalent software to simulate and optimize packaging density and logistics efficiency.</li> <li>Benchmark industry best practices and integrate innovative packaging technologies.</li> <li>Support new product launches and engineering changes with robust packaging strategies.</li> <li>Develop and manage packaging budgets, timelines, and resource allocation.</li> <li>Ensure packaging solutions meet regulatory, safety, and environmental requirements.</li> <li>Collaborate with procurement and suppliers to source cost-effective and sustainable materials.</li> <li>Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for packaging-related issues in production or logistics.</li> <li>Train and mentor packaging engineers and support staff.</li> </ul> <h3>&nbsp;</h3> <h3><strong>You Bring</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics Engineering, or a related field (preferred).</li> <li>7–10 years of hands-on experience in packaging design and implementation.</li> <li>2–3 years of experience in automotive logistics operations or in a supervisory/team lead role.</li> <li>Proficiency in PackAssistant or equivalent packaging simulation software (required).</li> <li>Strong understanding of returnable/expendable packaging systems, materials, and testing standards (ASTM, ISTA).</li> <li>Familiarity with 3D modeling CAD tools (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks) and Microsoft Office Suite.</li> <li>Strong engineering background with experience in team coordination and cross-functional collaboration.</li> <li>Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.</li> <li>Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, global environment.</li> <li>High attention to detail and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.</li> <li>Strong negotiation and vendor management capabilities.</li> <li>Strategic thinking with the ability to align packaging initiatives with broader business goals.</li> <li>Demonstrated success in leading transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.</li> </ul> </div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div>&nbsp;</div><div class="content-conclusion"><div> <p class="p1"><strong>Additional Compensation and Benefits</strong>: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k.
