If you've got an adventurer's soul, you're our kind of engineer. </span></div></div><div> </div><div title="Page 1"><strong>How you will make an impact on ocean intelligence</strong></div><div title="Page 1"><br></div><ul><li>Deliver the mechanical design of our next-generation profiler by solving challenges in the design of buoyancy control systems, structures, and packaging.</li><li>Develop and maintain a thorough and detailed model to enable simulation of systems, CB/CG modeling, and buoyancy models.</li><li>Bring a hands-on approach to working with our partners, fabricators, and internal team to bring prototypes to reality in a compressed timeframe.</li><li>Participate in all phases of the testing cycle to provide early identification of risks to the project and rapidly provide cost and performance implications</li><li>Provide guidance and a strong engineering voice to junior engineers and CO-OPS.</li><li>Show your work in excellent documentation and engineering process design. Building and maintaining processes that are foundational to excellent product delivery</li><li>Willingness and ability to participate in offshore testing to validate the design and performance of our systems. </li></ul><div><strong>What you must have</strong></div><div><br></div><ul><li>BSME (or related degree) from a 4-year college/university</li><li>6+ years relevant experience</li><li>Expertise in one of the mainstream 3D mechanical engineering CAD/Simulation software programs, with a preference for Onshape.</li><li>Expertise with PLM systems and change management processes</li><li>Expertise in finite-element analysis to evaluate stresses and structural modes</li><li>Demonstrated ability to work effectively amongst a diverse group of engineering disciplines.</li><li>US Citizenship required</li><li>The mindset to rapidly iterate in startup time is required</li></ul><div><strong> </strong></div><div><strong>It</strong><strong>'d be great if you also had these</strong></div><div><br></div><ul><li>MS degree in Mechanical Engineering or Physics with ≥ 10 years of relevant experience</li><li>Experience in engineering leadership roles in a cross-functional environment</li><li>Proficiency with maker skills, such as rapid prototyping machinery and electromechanical assembly</li></ul><div><br></div>
