About the Role

Color, Material, and Finish (CMF) Intern

As a Color, Material, and Finish (‘CMF”) Intern, will be participating and contributing to the CMF proposals, research, strategies and projects.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Working hand in hand with all cross-functional team to develop CMF.
  • Create and present initial vehicle CMF theme proposals (visual, communication and storytelling ) to management and design team
  • Propose unique & innovative CMF concepts to MC Design that predict and represent North America market trends
  • Collaborate with Interior and Exterior Design team members to develop innovative CMF solutions for vehicle programs (both production and advanced)
  • Collaborate and integrate with HMA to ensure seamless consistency between Product Planning and CMF design.
  • Work hands on with visualization software /tools to realize 2D and 3D proposals
  • Research consumer lifestyle and product design trends, translating them into cohesive Hyundai CMF strategies that strengthen our product branding strategy
  • Help develop library - advance Material
  • Learn materials and manufacturing processes
  • Work with material vendors to develop both advanced material samples and standards for production
  • Work alongside with engineers, suppliers and manufacturers to develop concepts and prototypes into material technologies suitable for mass manufacturing
  • Pattern Design for exclusive trim level on interior and exterior use and research current trend
