JOB SUMMARY

Duties include, but are not limited to, month end closing, financial analysis, financial reporting, account reconciliation, assistance with budgets/cap ex planning and execution and financial support for special projects. Responsibilities also include analyzing trends, costs, and revenues.  Candidate is responsible for other duties as assigned

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Include, but are not limited to:

  • Preparation of accounting entries, acting as a liaison with the department heads and coordinating month-end accruals and adjustments.
  • Preparation and analysis of financial statements and supplemental reporting packages.
  • Preparation of month-end financial review and analysis of each department’s financial results including researching and summarizing variances from planned and prior year results.
  • Assist with capital tracking, inventory, Accounts Payable and audit requests.
  • Ability to maintain complex financial records and to prepare reports and statements.
  • Preparation of monthly account reconciliations on a timely and accurate basis.
  • Supports the inventory count and purchasing system needs as necessary.
  • Ability to assist in the payroll function and handle any issues.
  • Must have extensive computer knowledge and efficiently learn new software.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively to internal stakeholders as well as CDI corporate finance stakeholders.
  • Prepares manual checks upon request.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related area is preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of accounting principles.
  • 1-2 years of related accounting experience.
  • Strong computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, understand or communicate in English sufficiently to perform the necessary functions of this position.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment and effectively communicate with guests, co-workers and management.
