Responsibilities
This role sits at the intersection of hands-on marketing design and longer-term brand development.
Your responsibility will be split between:
- Ongoing, hands-on execution of marketing materials using our existing brand, and
- Shaping and designing a more mature, updated brand language for Utila as we evolve as a company.
This is not a “pause everything and rebrand” role.
It’s a role that requires prioritization, planning, and parallel thinking - maintaining momentum with current marketing needs while gradually developing and rolling out a stronger, more cohesive brand system.What You’ll Be Doing
Day-to-day marketing & execution
- Design ongoing marketing assets across web, campaigns, events, social, and content.
- Work closely with Marketing on growth initiatives, launches, and community efforts.
- Translate complex, technical product value into clear, compelling visual narratives.
- Ensure consistency and quality across all brand touchpoints.
Brand evolution & visual system building
- Lead the development of a refreshed, more mature visual language for Utila.
- Build and evolve brand guidelines that can scale across teams and channels.
- Gradually introduce new brand elements while supporting existing needs.
- Collaborate with Product Design to ensure alignment between brand and in-product experience.
Ownership & collaboration
- Manage multiple projects in parallel, balancing short-term delivery with long-term brand thinking.
- Prioritize effectively and build a realistic roadmap for brand evolution.
- Provide creative direction and feedback to freelancers or agencies when needed.
- Apply motion and animation thinking to elevate storytelling across digital channels.
Requirements
5+ years of experience in Brand / Marketing Design, with strong hands-on execution.
Proven experience building or evolving brands for B2B SaaS / technology products.
Solid background in marketing design for tech companies — not just brand concepts.
Strong ability to work with existing constraints while shaping something new.
Experience translating complex or abstract products into clear, engaging visuals.
Comfort operating in a fast-moving environment where priorities shift.
- A portfolio that demonstrates both brand thinking and ongoing marketing execution.
- Ownership mindset — someone who can plan, prioritize, and move things forward independently.
- Experience with Framer is an advantage, or a willingness to learn new tools such as Framer if you don’t have prior experience
