Hinckley has been building and servicing America’s finest yachts since 1928. Today, Hinckley builds highly innovative, power and sailing yachts from 29 to 76 feet under the Hinckley, Hinckley Sport Boat, Hunt, and Morris brands. Hinckley Yacht Services offers a network of 9 full-service yacht yards from Maine to Florida.


We are seeking Yard Crew team members to join our team in Easton, MD with an ability to also go to our Bay Bridge Marina location. Our expanding network of service yards allows you the opportunity of upward mobility and a clear career path to achieve personal success.


Responsibilities

  • Responsible for removal of vessels from water, using movable lift crane
  • Moves vessels and molds as necessary to and from storage bays
  • Positions and secures blocking at bottom and sides of vessels according to size, weight, and weight distribution of vessels, using fasteners, hand tools, and power tools
  • Knows tides and coordinates boat movement for the yard
  • Handles lines and has on-the water and boat handling experience
  • Manages yard space allocation
  • Operates fork truck and other heavy equipment (e.g., travel lift)
  • Works with subcontractors, captains, and customers for transportation and scheduling launches and hauling
  • Follow defined instructions and procedures in performance of tasks to an exacting degree
  • Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations and maintain safe, clean work area
  • Perform other related duties as necessary and assigned

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or General Equivalency Degree (GED)
  • Two (2) years experience in a marine environment performing launch duties
  • Travel-lift experience
  • Fork lift training
  • Basic mechanical hand tools and outerwear for all types of weather conditions
