Senior Software Engineer, GenAI Platforms

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer with a strong track record in software development and deep expertise in implementing Generative AI (GenAI) solutions from concept to production within an enterprise environment. 

The successful candidate will play a key role in building SGX’s AI strategic platform, collaborating closely with Product Management to design, develop, and operationalize modern AI and LLM-based systems (e.g. Gemini, Llama, Claude, GPT). This role encompasses end-to-end ownership – from whiteboard design to live production deployment – and includes hiring, mentoring, and leading a small, high-performing team of engineers. 

Job Responsibilities

•    Lead the design, development, and deployment of GenAI and LLM-based applications from prototype to production. 
•    Partner with Product Managers to define and execute SGX’s AI strategy and roadmap, including an enterprise-grade AI platform. 
•    Architect scalable and secure solutions using GCP and AWS cloud environments. 
•    Implement modern AI/ML infrastructure, MLOps, and data pipelines for both real-time and batch inference. 
•    Integrate foundation models (Llama, Gemini, Claude, GPT etc.) into SGX’s products, workflows, and internal tools. 
•    Drive system reliability, scalability, and compliance with SGX standards. 
•    Hire, mentor, and lead a small team of engineers, fostering best practices in AI and software engineering. 
•    Conduct experimentation, benchmarking, and continuous optimization of model performance. 
•    Produce clear, maintainable technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and reproducible deployment processes. 

Job Requirements

•    10+ years of professional experience in software engineering, including system design, development, and deployment in production environments. 
•    Bachelor’s of Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI/ML Engineering, or a related technical field. 
•    Proven experience deploying GenAI or LLM-based systems in production.
•    Deep familiarity with LLM frameworks and APIs (e.g. Vertex AI, Hugging Face, LangChain, OpenAI API). 
•    Hands-on expertise with cloud infrastructure (GCP, AWS) and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes). 
•    Proficient in Python and modern software delivery practices (CI/CD, version control, testing frameworks). 
•    Strong understanding of data engineering, feature pipelines, and model lifecycle management. 
•    Excellent communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams (product, data, infrastructure). 
•    Demonstrated leadership experience in hiring, mentoring, and developing engineering teams.
•    Analytical thinker with strong attention to detail and a focus on delivering measurable business outcomes.
