About the Role
- Contribute to and maintain the overall web architecture strategy and horizon architecture ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Lead the development of architecture governance structures, methodologies, and compliance activities.
- Collaborate with business leaders, product managers, other architects, and stakeholders for assigned business domains to assess the current technology environment and recommend long term solutions for improving capabilities and optimizing service offerings.
- Work closely with contractors and software partners to ensure designed solutions are fit for use and represent the most current approach and technologies.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies, frameworks, tools, and processes that enhance the overall web architecture.
- Work closely with the Operations and Infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration of web applications.
- Complete and maintain documentation for the overall architectural designs, systems, and components via Architectural Decision Records (ADRs) and supporting documentation.
- Provide training and support to development teams regarding best practices and architectural guidelines.
- Conducts reviews of technical documentation to ensure quality and consistency of established standards.
- Interact closely, while maintaining trusted relationships with developers, product owners, product managers, and business partners.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Excellent presentation skills with the ability to present and defend design solutions and the recommended course of action.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Ability to deal effectively with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner to resolve problems and achieve business goals.
- Strong knowledge of server-side languages, specifically C#, .NET (Framework and Core), web services, Visual Studio, and DB technologies (like MSSQL Server, Cosmos, no-SQL, etc.) with the ability to contribute to technical architecture across desktop, mobile, middle tier, and data components.
- Strong understanding of application, system, data, and security architecture and non-functional aspects like performance, scalability, reliability, availability, and other capabilities of a system
- Microsoft and Azure Solutions Architect certifications preferred.
- Experience with Azure development environments and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
- Experience with front-end technologies (like VueJS, React, Angular, etc.) along with microfrontend architectural styles.
- Experience with Domain-driven design principles
- Experience with event-driven microservices architecture
- Experience with integrating commercial e-commerce related software and services.
- Experience with continuous integration, continuous delivery pipelines and configuration
- management
- Experience with effective utilization of Content Delivery Networks (CDNs) like Akamai, Azure CDN, Cloudflare, etc.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field required.
- 5+ years as a Senior Developer or Software Architect experience required.
- 9+ years of Overall industry experience required.
