About you and the role:
DiRx, an emerging digital health company is seeking an experienced Shipping Clerk as founding members to partner with us in developing a caring, empathetic, and personal experience for our pharmacy customers. Under the direction of the Mail Order Pharmacist, the Shipping Clerk will be responsible for appropriate documentation related to receipt of orders, storage, shipping or additional handling of prescriptions filled at the Mail Order Pharmacy.
The ideal candidate will have an exceptional eye for detail, the ability to multi-task without sacrificing quality and accuracy, love a fasted paced environment, flexibility, a willingness to learn, and be at ease with change. This role plays an integral part in our ability to deliver solutions to our customers to make maintaining their health easier by making sure the generic drugs they need are affordable and easy to obtain.
What you will do:
- Prepare and pack medications, including cold chain items, for shipment.
- Ensure all products are stored and shipped at the correct temperature.
- Coordinate shipping schedules and communicate with carriers to ensure timely delivery.
- Verify and process shipping documentation, including invoices and tracking numbers.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper stock levels.
- Follow all safety and regulatory requirements, and pharmacy-related guidelines.
- Monitor and maintain cold chain shipping materials (e.g., gel packs, insulated containers).
- Assist in receiving incoming shipments and organizing storage.
- Conduct regular quality checks to ensure that shipped items meet company standards.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow.
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification or training in logistics or pharmacy tech is a plus but not necessary.
- Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk, preferably in a pharmacy or healthcare setting.
- Experience in handling cold chain shipments is required.
- Familiarity with shipping software and inventory management systems.

- Understanding of HIPAA/HITECH Privacy and Security requirements and internal Notice of Privacy Practices.

- Must be flexible to work evenings and/or weekends, and occasional extra time as needed.
Physical Requirements:
- This position will require standing/sitting for long periods of time, walking and bending.
- Must be able to carry and lift items up to 50 lbs.
Work Environment:
- This role will be performed at our distribution center located in Fort Lauderdale, FL, therefore, the majority of this job may be spent indoors or in other climate-controlled environments.
