If you're looking to define what's next in space launch and write a new playbook, not just repeat what’s already been done, this is where it happens.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong>About the Role:</strong></span></p> <ul> <li style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Apply mechanical engineering principles to lead mechanical design projects from concept through implementation.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Coordinate and interpret requirements between vehicle vehicle and other ground support engineering teams</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Develop detailed 3D CAD models, 2D drawings, fluid system schematics, and electrical system schematics to support design execution.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Conduct structural, dynamic, and system performance analyses using both analytical and finite element methods.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Present design solutions and technical findings to engineering and leadership teams, ensuring clarity in design approach, functionality, and constructability.</span></li> </ul> <p><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong>About You: </strong></span></p> <ul> <li style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related field.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Minimum of 10 years of professional engineering experience in structural, mechanical, fluid power, or related systems.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Strong technical foundation in structural analysis, mechanical design, and fluid systems.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Proven ability to manage projects on schedule and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.</span></li> </ul> <p><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong>&nbsp;</strong><strong>Nice to haves but not required: </strong></span></p> <ul> <li style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Experience designing, manufacturing, testing, and implementing launch vehicle interface mechanisms and tooling.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Familiarity with NASA, DoD, Space Force, or similar regulatory and industry standards.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Working knowledge of structural materials and common manufacturing processes.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Experience designing complex fluid systems, including high-pressure gas, cryogenic fluids, flammables, or hydraulics.</span></li> </ul><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="description"><p><span style="font-size: 14px;">At Relativity Space, we are committed to transparency and fairness in our compensation practices.
