About the Role: The Facilities Technician I supports the daily operations, maintenance, and repair of company facilities. This entry-level position assists with preventive maintenance, troubleshooting building systems, and ensuring a safe, clean, and functional work environment. The role operates under direct supervision and includes hands-on training across multiple trades, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building maintenance. <ul> <li style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Perform routine preventive maintenance on building systems, equipment, and infrastructure.</li> <li style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Respond to work orders and service requests promptly and professionally.</li> <li style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Conduct regular facility inspections to identify maintenance needs and potential safety issues.</li> <li style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Assist with setup, teardown, and relocation of office furniture and equipment.</li> <li style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Operate tools and equipment safely in accordance with OSHA and company standards.</li> <li style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities using the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).</li> <li style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Communicate effectively with employees and stakeholders regarding facility-related requests.</li> </ul>  About You: <ul> <li style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">1+ year of experience in general maintenance, facilities, or a related field (internships or apprenticeships accepted).</li> <li style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Basic knowledge of one or more trades such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or carpentry.</li> <li style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions, manuals, and simple schematics.</li> <li style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.</li> <li style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Basic computer proficiency; experience using a CMMS is preferred.</li> <li style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and perform physical work in various environments.</li> <li style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Willingness to be on-call for occasional after-hours emergencies.</li> </ul>  Nice to haves but not required: <ul> <li style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">OSHA 10 certification.</li> <li style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Forklift or aerial lift operator certification.</li> <li style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Demonstrated ability to identify maintenance issues proactively and recommend corrective actions.</li> <li style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.</li> </ul> Successful candidates must clear a background check administered by the US government to obtain clearance for on-site work at our government partner location in Cape Canaveral, Florida.<div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="description">At Relativity Space, we are committed to transparency and fairness in our compensation practices.
