Lead Maytronics’ Strategic Procurement & Sourcing function to strengthen the global supply chain, ensure continuity of supply for critical components, reduce total cost of ownership (TCO), and build long-term partnerships with innovative, reliable, and sustainable suppliers.
The role is a key business interface between Engineering, Operations, Logistics, and Quality — positioning procurement as a strategic value driver that directly impacts cost, quality, and delivery performance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Global Sourcing Strategy
- Define and execute multi-year sourcing strategies by category: Plastics, Metals, Electronics, Motors, Cables, Packaging, Logistics, and Indirect Services.
- Lead Make vs. Buy analyses and total cost modeling (TCO).
- Establish and deploy Maytronics’ global procurement policy
- Collaborate closely with R&D to ensure Design-to-Cost alignment during new product development.
2. Supplier Development & Sourcing
- Identify, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers according to technical, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Lead global RFQ/RFP processes and support long-term commercial negotiations.
- Perform benchmarking of cost structures, supplier capabilities, and market trends to drive Cost-Improvement Projects.
- Coordinate supplier audits together with Quality and Engineering teams.
3. Cost & Value Engineering
- Drive company-wide cost reduction and value-engineering initiatives.
- Partner with R&D and Operations to identify VA/VE (Value Analysis / Value Engineering) opportunities.
- Monitor KPIs: annual savings, On-Time Delivery, PPM, and inventory days.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or Economics (Master’s degree – advantage).
- Minimum 7 years of experience in strategic procurement / global sourcing in a manufacturing or technology company.
- Proven experience in global negotiations and large-scale cost-reduction projects.
- Strong familiarity with manufacturing processes (injection molding, electronics, packaging).
- Proficiency in ERP systems (Priority / SAP) and BI tools for spend and KPI analytics.
- Excellent English communication and presentation skills.
- Familiarity with PFAS, ESG, and global compliance regulations – strong advantage.
- Ability to work effectively in a global, cross-cultural matrix organization.
