Job Title: Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant 

Location: Darien, CT


Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant Requirements: 

  • Associate’s Degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant studies from an accredited program
  • Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) licensure in Connecticut
  • Experience providing occupational therapy interventions under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist for children and adolescents
  • Strong skills in implementing treatment plans involving sensory integration, fine/gross motor development, and activities of daily living (ADL) training
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and time management abilities
  • Ability to commute to both Darien and Wilton locations

Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant Compensation: 

  • $70,000 annual salary

Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant Job Type:

  • Full-Time: 40 hours/week (22-25 client-facing; 12-15 administrative/note-taking)    
  • Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday with evening/after school availability   

Responsibilities: 

  • Work with OTR to develop a comprehensive treatment plan including long and short term goals, frequency, duration, and treatment modalities
  • Provide direct occupational therapy services to children, adolescents, and/or adults (target of 25 client hours per week)
  • Dedicate 15 hours per week to administrative duties, including documentation, treatment planning, progress notes, and communication with families, multidisciplinary team members, schools, and outside providers as needed
  • Participate in weekly supervision, staff meetings, grand rounds and case consultations
  • Set up the gym for evaluations/sessions and maintain a clean gym environment after each therapy session/day
  • Perform other clinical and administrative duties as required
