The technician performs maintenance and repair of machines and building equipment to ensure efficient and safe production operations. Responsibilities include electrical trade functions, inspections, repairs, and general upkeep of the facility.

Basic Function:
Maintenance of machines and building equipment, facility repair, electrical, calibration, installations, preventative maintenance and other duties to keep production operating efficiently and safely.

Exposed to Severe Weather Conditions: Yes; At times anyone who works in maintenance may have to work outside during the heat of summer or the cold of winter. Repairs are sometimes needed to equipment that is located outside.
Responsibilities:
- Performs a variety of electrical trade functions to include installation, maintenance and repair of equipment
- Performs checks and balances on machines to assure the proper functioning .
- Inspects, tests and adjusts all systems, machinery and equipment per maintenance schedule
- Responds to verbal or written instructions for safety and security calls regarding machinery.
- Inspects damaged parts, determines nature of repair and uses repair tools to rework or refinish worn or damaged parts
- Upkeeps the grounds to include mowing, shrubs, trees, general yard work and parking lot repairs.
- Repairs minor problems of buildings and foundations to include the roof, ceilings, walls, floors, basements and all mechanical contents of the building.
- Delivers and/or picks up supplies when needed.
- Applies general knowledge of carpentry, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, welding, painting and masonry work as needed.
- Resolves problems and discrepancies with jobs and/or interacts with management to amend the issue.
- Records repair and preventative maintenance details into electronic systems
- Maintains work area in a neat and clean manner.
- Returns tools and unused maintenance supplies to maintenance room at end of each day.
- Adheres to all company policies and procedures paying special attention to health and/or safety procedures.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
