About the Role

Description

We are seeking a skilled Casting Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machining castings and a keen eye for detail to ensure precision and quality in every component produced. Key Responsibilities:

- Operate and set up various machining equipment such as lathes, mills, and grinders to machine castings according to specifications

- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine machining requirements

- Inspect finished parts for accuracy, quality, and adherence to specifications using measurement tools

- Perform routine maintenance and calibration of machining tools and equipment

- Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues to minimize downtime

- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with safety regulations

- Document machining processes and quality checks as required

Requirements

  • At least 2+ (two) or more years’ experience in CNC machining & manual machining on lathes and/or vertical mills. 
  • At least 2+ (two) or more years’ experience navigating CNC controls including OSP, Fanuc, Haas, or PathPilot controls.
  • Strong math skills, especially in geometry and basic algebra. 
  • Must be familiar with machining non-ferrous alloys.
  • Hands-on mechanical aptitude and appreciation for building and working with materials in a high-level environment.
  • Must be familiar with identifying, developing, and performing required daily/weekly/monthly/semi-annual and annual maintenance on all machining equipment.
  • Prior experience using inspection and metrology tools/equipment. 
  • High School Diploma or GED required. 
  • Any relevant technical or industry certification preferred.
