We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Sr consultant specialist.

 

In this role, you will:

 

  • Technical SME for WAS Admin, and associated technologies and automation.
  • Working with lead solution and infrastructure architects to deliver quality, scalable and performant services
  • Responsible for rollout of operational toolkits and service monitoring solutions required by the role to enhance the ability to troubleshoot and ultimately prevent customer facing issues
  • Hands on admin experience on IBM MQ, WAS and Portals
  • Leading technical team and oversee digital Middleware products for business-critical applications
  • Analyzing, planning, and defining Middleware architecture framework, including security and governance
  • Support on application deployment, troubleshooting and incidents management
  • Provide consultancy, support and performance tuning on Middleware products
  • Develop pipelines and configure tools for automation
  • Support and maintain High-Availability and Disaster Recovery solutions
  • Collaborate with architects, developers, and project managers to deliver suitable infrastructure solution which can cope with the business need
  • Ensure systems comply with group infrastructure policies and standards
  • Work closely with infrastructure domain teams to influence the practice and standard of infrastructure products
  • Responsible for rollout of operational toolkits and service monitoring solutions required by the role to enhance the ability to troubleshoot and ultimately prevent customer facing issues
  • Delivery of new and upgraded Infrastructure services
  • Delivery of security enhancements and fixes as required

 

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

 

  • IBM WAS and RHEL certified desirable
  • 5-7 years of Experience of Websphere related products (WAS, Liberty, Portal) desirable
  • Unix / RHEL OS Admins skills
  • Solid technical knowledges in Middleware products such as IBM MQ, WAS, Portal, IHS, redis, Apache, Tomcat, Node.js, Hazelcast and Kong
  • Good technical design and implementation skills with proven track record of delivering large and complex projects
  • Hands on experience on installing/upgrading/patching the Middleware products
  • Experience in delivering large scale projects and working with stakeholders in different levels
  • Experience in Python/shell scripting
  • Automation tool knowledge on Ansible, Jenkins, Puppet is preferable
  • Experience on AWS, Azure, GCP, Ali cloud technology is a plus - certification is desired
  • DevOps principles for efficient delivery
  • Familiar with IaC (Infrastructure as Code)
