About the Role

Job Description:

The Operations Associate position is a bargaining represented position and is responsible for all aspects of cable/harness assembly, to support electronic cabinets assembly, and/or electro-mechanical assemblies. Typical duties may include cable/harness assembly, hand soldering, mechanical assembly, inspection, electronic console assembly, electronic system assembly, point-to-point wiring.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret electronic and mechanical diagrams and assembly instructions.
  • Able to obtain IPC-620 and/or J Standard 001 certifications
  • Demonstrated aptitude for cable/harness mechanical assembly
  • Ability to tolerate exposure to solder paste, flux, and solder fumes.
  • Must be able to sit and stand for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
  • Good problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot wire issues.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Basic computer skills for record-keeping and documentation.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience in mechanical assembly, hand soldering, and self-inspection
  • IPC-610 certifications
  • One (1) or more years of experience in high tech electronics environment
  • One (1) or more years of experience in manufacturing  
  • Completion of a certified technical school training
  • Familiar with building rack/cabinet/console assembly.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary for this role is $25.57. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
