In order to accomplish our goal we pride ourselves on effective and streamlined communication, ongoing mentoring and support, collaboration between clinic and school personnel (intervention specialists, general education teachers, other therapy disciplines, psychologists, administration) and providing our professionals with the materials and tools they need to succeed (access to online assessments, shared therapy resources, templates, goal banks, and membership to online therapy tools).
Essential Accountabilities for the Physical Therapist
- Provide ongoing treatment to assigned caseload
- Document, monitor, analyze, and report students’ progress and effects of treatment regularly in conjunction with school deadlines and procedures.
- Conduct educationally relevant evaluations and report findings within Evaluation Team Reports (ETRs)
- Write educationally relevant therapy goals and relevant student information background information within Individualized Educational Programs (IEPs)
- Attend and report evaluations findings and therapy recommendations in family friendly language during IEP and ETR meetings.
- Contribute to building a positive, supportive, and learning culture through collaboration and ongoing communication between school personnel and families.
- Maintenance and documentation of ongoing therapy minutes and report due-dates.
- Complete necessary Medicaid billing in conjunction with school deadlines and procedures.
Requirements
- Master’s/Doctor’s degree from an accredited college or university program of Physical Therapy.
- Current license to practice Physical Therapy in the State of Ohio.
- Valid Driver’s license.
- Completed FBI and BCI background check (can be completed upon hire)
- Current Ohio Department of Education Certification (can be completed upon hire)
- Professional Liability Insurance, recommended by the governing body.
- Positive and goal-oriented, willing to accept the challenge of new assignments and be able to work well with others.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, with emphasis on teamwork, customer service, and safe working practices.
- Must be able to handle stressful situations.
- Compatible with company culture and core values.
