About the Role

 

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Manager to join our Global Employer Services (GES) team — part of one of the largest and most dynamic professional services firms.

This is a strategic leadership role where you will drive client engagements, build strong relationships with government authorities, and lead a talented team to deliver exceptional mobility advisory services to multinational clients across industries.

 

Key Accountabilities

 

  • Lead and oversee end-to-end mobility engagements, including but not limited to Personal Income Tax, Compulsory Insurance, Labor, Immigration matters for Vietnamese and foreign employees in Vietnam, ensuring full compliance and excellence in delivery.
  • Act as the primary client contact, managing expectations, resolving complex mobility challenges, and providing timely, practical, and business-oriented advice.
  • Drive business development with a growth mindset by identifying new service opportunities, going out to the market, preparing proposals, and supporting strategic client pursuits in collaboration with Partners and Directors.
  • Enhance operational efficiency by standardizing processes, leveraging technology (including AI tools), and ensuring effective risk management and documentation.
  • Develop strong working relationships with government authorities (at national and local level) to facilitate smooth processing and issue resolution for clients.
  • Coach, inspire, and empower team members to reach their potential — providing on-the-job guidance, constructive feedback, and formal training sessions.
  • Collaborate across functions (Personal Income Tax, Payroll, Social Insurance, etc.) to deliver integrated, end-to-end mobility solutions for multinational clients.
  • Participate in regional initiatives and contribute to cross-border projects within the Global Employer Services network.

 

Requirements

 

Education and Certification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Human Resources, Foreign Trade, or related disciplines.
  • Postgraduate or professional certifications in HR, Legal, or Tax fields are a plus.

 

Experience and Technical skills:

  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in mobility advisory and compliance with at least 1 year at managerial level experience in mobility tax.
  • Background in Big 4 or multinational professional services firms is highly desirable.
  • Experience in managing client portfolios, government liaison, and cross-functional projects.
  • Exposure to Personal Income Tax, Payroll, and Labor advisory services is an advantage.
  • Deep understanding of Vietnam’s framework of Personal Income Tax, labor regulations, and related compliance matters.

 

Other skills:

  • Strong project management, stakeholder management, and client relationship skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in both English and Vietnamese, with the ability to influence and present confidently to clients and authorities.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage workloads effectively, and deliver high-quality results under pressure.
  • Professional, analytical, and proactive mindset with strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • A growth-oriented leader who is passionate about people, innovation, and making an impact that matters.
