Description

Position Overview:


This role will also involve operating a semi and trailer to haul third party products all over the United States. This position is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual who is looking to take their skillset and career to the next level and contribute to the growth and success of our company.


*Potential for seasoned drivers can earn up to $105,000 annually 


Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Transport and deliver freight over distances in a safe, efficient, timely, and legal manner
  • Hook and unhook trailers, back up tractor and trailer, ensure all product is loaded/unloaded
  • Install and remove tire chains as required by weather
  • Inspect truck and trailer for defects before and after trips
  • Follow all FMCSA logbook requirements, complete all necessary paperwork, maintain records
  • Deal with delays, change, or unexpected events
  • May be required to climb trailer, sweep out trailer, etc.
  • Put safety at the forefront, following all rules and laws
  • Out on the road 5 days per week
  • Communicate with outside venders, team members, and management in a professional manner
  • Able to utilize technology and applications that are required
  • Follow all safety procedures 
  • Assist with other areas of the business as needed

Requirements

Education and Experience


  • Must have Class A CDL and valid medical card. MVR must be approved by insurance. Will be subject to Federal Drug and Alcohol Testing requirements.

Qualifications

  

  • Must have Class A CDL and valid medical card.
  • MVR must pass insurance requirements.
  • Will be required to participate in WFR’s drug and alcohol testing program.
  • Must have a cell phone with internet capability. 
  • Ability to drive in a safe manner.
  • Ability to follow all laws and regulations.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. 
  • Ability to stand, walk and be on feet.
  • Ability to bend, reach, squat & kneel.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Capable of doing repeated actions.
  • Effectively communicate with team members.

Work Environment

  • Schedule: Must work scheduled days and hours assigned by manager, will be out 5 days per week. Must work full time.
  • Environment: indoors and outdoors.
  • Travel: This position is traveling frequently.
