Allied National is excited we are looking for a Development Supervisor to join our Information Systems team! We are seeking an experienced and effective leader to head our Development team. This individual will be responsible for the management, operation, and development of the Development staff. This team delivers scalable, secure, and quality software solutions with a focus on growth and service. This candidate will serve as owner of all Development Environments and will need to be able to discuss and disseminate development best practices and new methodologies to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Responsibilities Include:
- Managing the day-to-day activities of development build teams ranging from backend services to middleware and front-end user interfaces.
- Work with stakeholders inside and outside of the department and company to ensure development projects are properly scoped, service the intended needs, and are delivered on time and within budget.
- Own all developmental metrics and escalated support for all assigned systems and their various integrations. Owns Development team across all internally developed software and systems as well as code.
- Identify opportunities to introduce automation and other improvements to their area, as practicable.
Requirements
- High School Diploma and continued independent professional learning is required.
- Must have a minimum of 7 years of professional experience as some combination of a software development manager, a development team lead, a technical trainer, a technical project manager, or a technical product manager.
- A Minimum of 2 years of professional experience supervising development staff at the level of a team lead or higher is needed.
- Expertise in organizing the workload and output of multiple cross-functional teams as well as expertise in the concepts surrounding a Systems Development Lifecycle and how to apply the framework to keep day-to-day projects moving is a requirement.
- Exposure to project management delivery techniques and a proven ability to adapt to leading large-scale multidisciplinary projects is a plus.
