What are we looking for?

We are looking for a passionate DevOps Team Lead that will be responsible for leading a team of DevOps engineers in the design, implementation, and maintenance of Checkmarx’s cloud-native application deployment in AWS/Kubernetes.

How will you make an impact?​

In this role you will be responsible for:​

Lead, teach, and grow a team of experienced DevOps engineers and DBA’s

Identify and implement process improvements to increase the efficiency of the DevOps team.

Provide technical leadership to the DevOps team, including mentoring and coaching.

Work closely with the engineering teams to define infrastructure needs and provide them with DevOps support and training.

Research and integrate new technologies into our stack

Create and maintain technical documentation

Manage, monitor, scale, and troubleshoot a distributed highly scalable, highly available, customer-facing software stack

Mentor and coach others in the cloud and DevOps tools and practices

Requirements

What is needed to succeed? 

Required qualifications:​

Experience with leading, mentoring, and developing a team

Comprehensive knowledge and experience of AWS Cloud services

Experience in infrastructure troubleshooting practices using observability tools – advantage to ElasticSearch and Prometheus.

Competent experience with building automation tools such as IaC, Jenkins, CircleCI, jFrog, Terraform and similar

Vast experience with K8s deployments, maintenance, and troubleshooting

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Team player, innovative and creative, able to see the “big picture” and take part in shaping the product

Desired qualifications:​

Experience or familiarity with database administration (DBA) tasks and operations

Experience with cost optimization and budgeting in cloud infrastructure

Strong verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to participate in technical discussions confidently and effectively
