This roster is 8/6 and a 12 hours day.

About the Role

Here at Cowal, you’ll be stepping into a role that’s not only technically rich but also at the forefront of underground mining innovation. Reporting to the Senior Mining Surveyor, you’ll be part of a team that’s pioneering the use of cutting-edge tech like drones, LiDAR scanners, and advanced Deswik modelling, to reshape how underground surveying is carried out in Australia.

You’ll be hands-on with everything from void management and laser installs to deformation monitoring and end of month reporting, working as part of a dedicated UG survey team.

About You

You’re someone who likes getting stuck into real work with top gear and a solid crew, and doesn't mind a good BBQ on the weekends.
You’re either an experienced underground surveyor or a technically-minded up-and-comer with a hunger to learn and grow. You’ve got a recognised qualification in surveying (TAFE, diploma, or tertiary), and ideally, a couple of years of underground experience under your belt. But more than that, you’re curious, adaptable, and excited by the idea of working with cutting-edge tools and processes.
You thrive in environments where innovation is encouraged, and you’re motivated by the chance to be part of something that’s evolving. Whether you’re a drone-savvy tech enthusiast or a solid all-rounder with strong Deswik skills, you’re ready to roll up your sleeves and make an impact.

You’ll stand out if you:

• Have underground mining or tunnelling experience with mining, and a solid grasp of modern survey instrumentation.
• Are keen to work with point clouds, solids, and DTMs in Deswik.
• Want to be part of a team that values learning, collaboration, and pushing the envelope.
• Are open to relocating to Australia and bringing your underground survey experience to a site that values global talent.
