About the Role

OVERVIEW

Cadrex is searching for an Assembly Operator I to perform tasks related to assembling work in progress (WIP) parts to produce finished goods (FG) through various processes including, but not limited to sonic welding, heat staking, gluing, inserting screws, and other assembly processes to meet customer and ISO standards. 


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Inspecting, labeling, milling, routing, punching, sanding, inserting, making, and packaging of plastic parts.
  • Document production and scrap on daily sheet including labels, production tags and hourly rate sheets.
  • Report defects or issues to supervisor.
  • Working safely at all time and compliance with OSHA standards.
  • Performs other duties and assignments as directed by shift supervisor or management.

Requirements

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • No previous experience is necessary to perform the Assembly Operator duties.
  • Basic communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Take and retain direction well.
  • Previous experience in injection molding or manufacturing assemblies.


EDUCATION

  • High School Diploma


WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to high places, fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. The employee is frequently exposed to vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and may require hearing protection in specific locations.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers, handle or feel, and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to walk and stand for long periods and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. For specific jobs, employees may be required to wear a respirator or ear plugs.

SCHEDULE

  • Monday-Thursday; 4:30pm-3:00am
