Rabobank’s Fraud & FEC Investigations - ANZ function is excited to offer a rare opportunity for an experienced Senior Fraud & Scams Monitoring Analyst to join our Perth office.  As part of a dynamic ANZ regional function, this role provides exposure to cross-border operations & collaboration, reporting directly to the Team Leader, Fraud Detection & Response. Top Role Accountabilities: 

• Investigating complex & heightened risk fraud alerts generated from Threat Metrix or other external fraud events
• Escalating complex cases to Line 2 Financial Economic Crime (FEC) Compliance team as required
• Leading the development & management of scenarios to ensure effective rules are in place to detect fraud & scams
• Analysing relevant data to identify potentially fraudulent transactions & delivering insights through input to investigative reports & updates
• Performing post investigation activities, including loss assessments and recoveries, & analyse incident & investigation activities to identify enhancements
• Coaching Fraud Analysts & receiving their escalations of more complex cases
• Identifying & supporting vulnerable customers through the scam management lifecycle

To be successful in the role, you will have: 

• A minimum of 3 – 5 years in a similar role within fraud operations
• Proven experience in triaging fraud alerts, conducting investigations, escalating cases, & reporting incidents with accuracy & urgency
• Experience in reviewing transaction & login data to identify & flag potentially fraudulent activity
• Excellent communication skills including the ability to talk confidently & professionally with clients
• Strong investigative & analytical skills with a keen attention to detail & thorough, logical thinking
• An ability to make sound judgements based on data & take responsibility for decisions made
• An ability to document end to end processes into comprehensive team procedures
• An ability to provide ‘on the job’ coaching to colleagues as part of continuous improvements initiatives
• Knowledge & experience of Threat Metrix or a similar tool
