About the Role

Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Estimator / Quality Control Coordinator to provide technical, document, and bid preparation support to our operations and estimating teams. This role focuses on AutoCAD drafting, material take-offs, document management, and plan/specification review. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and able to work independently while supporting a long-term partnership with the USA team.



Job Highlights
Monthly Rate: USD 1275
Number of Paid Hours Per Week: 40 hours
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Central Time
Work Arrangement: Work from home
Contract: Independent Contractor


Side Note: Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and the arrangement is that of an “Independent Contractor,” the selected candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. The professional fees are on hourly rates and the rate depends on your performance in the application process.

Responsibilities

Pre qualification & Pre-Bid Support

  • Assist with initial project pre qualification tasks and data gathering.

  • Perform lead and opportunity searches on platforms such as ConstructConnect and Dodge Construction Network.

  • Review and analyze project plans for material requirements and alignment with company scope.

AutoCAD Drafting & Material Take-Offs

  • Create and modify civil construction drawings, layouts, and details using AutoCAD.

  • Perform accurate material take-offs for estimating and procurement.

Document Management & QA/QC

  • Proof and correct project documents for accuracy and completeness.

  • Review field paperwork and assemble comprehensive project closeout packages.

  • Analyze field paperwork to verify testing numbers and QA/QC data.

Specification & Plan Analysis

  • Conduct detailed reviews of project specifications and prepare concise summaries for the estimating team before bid submission.

  • Evaluate project plans to identify and reference all geo synthetic and related products relevant to the company scope.

Additional Support

  • Assist with other tasks as needed to support operational and estimating functions.

Requirements

  • Proficient in AutoCAD for civil construction projects.

  • Strong ability to perform material take-offs and develop high-quality drawing details.

  • Background in civil construction and/or civil engineering.

  • Fluent in spoken and written English for seamless communication with the USA team.

  • Skilled in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Adobe Acrobat.

  • Must provide own computer capable of running required programs (AutoCAD license will be provided).

Bonus Skills:

  • Experience with Procure for assembling closeout documentation.

  • Familiarity with ConstructConnect and Dodge Construction Network.

  • Proficiency in Bluebeam or similar tools for detailed submittal drawings and internal detail libraries.
