About the Role
Oversee functional financial accounting activities including reviewing journal entries and reporting Responsible for the timely and accurate monthly close processes and day-to-day operations for global entities in accordance with US GAAP while ensuring proper maintenance of statutory financials Ensure effective internal controls are in place and compliance with GAAP and applicable international and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting Ensure SOX compliance by adhering to internal control requirements, maintaining updated documentation, and providing recommendations, as appropriate Identify and highlight any risks/fraud and mitigate with proper controls and solutions Lead and drive process improvement, automation, and standardization and other assigned projects/tasks Proactively engage with Stakeholders to resolve challenges and recommend solutions, improvement where necessary Coach and mentor team members Establish and maintain cooperative and productive work relationships Establish plans and objectives for the functional group and at organization level for Global Finance Center of Excellence Strong knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS and local country accounting standards Strong team-player with experience working in a dynamic organization and demonstrated ability to build bridges between stakeholders Strong communication, influencing skills including ability to step up in challenging status quo when necessary Strong analytical skills with deep understanding of business principles and practices Ability to manage change sensitively and in a collaborative manner Ability to attract, develop and retain outstanding talent Proven track record of team development, process efficiency, quality improvement and innovating finance workloads Ability to succinctly explain financial matters to non-finance personnel Demonstrate and maintain a positive customer service focus to both internal & external customers, including Audit/Statutory engagement Demonstrate agility and flexibility to maneuver ad hoc tasks, projects and challenges. Qualified accountant (CA, ACA, ACCA or CIMA), Degree in Finance/Accounting >10 years of experience in Finance, Accounting and Reporting; high-tech industry Experience in automation projects, LEAN, 6-Sigma or RPA, preferred Digital tools skillset would be preferred (Power Automate, Power Query, SQL, UIPath)
