<div class="content-intro"><p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p></div><div class="row">&nbsp;Walden Security is currently offering a sign on bonus of $1000 paid after 90 days on the contract. They are recruiting experienced Court Security Officers. CSOs will provide armed security to courthouses under the USMS contract.</div> <div class="row"> <div class="col-xs-12 col-sm-12 col-md-12 col-lg-12"> <div id="ContentPlaceHolder1_pnlDescription"> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</strong>&nbsp;Includes the following and other duties may be assigned:</p> <p><u>Perform entrance control:</u>&nbsp;Enforce the District’s entry and identification system which includes operating security screening equipment to detect weapons, contraband, and prohibited items, checking items such as handbags, briefcases, computers, packages, baby carriages, wheelchairs, etc.</p> <p><u>Perform roving patrol:</u>&nbsp;Patrol court facilities and grounds of the facility in accordance with applicable post orders.</p> <p><u>Perform stationary post assignments:</u>&nbsp;Stand guard at stationary posts which include (but not limited to) monitoring closed-circuit television, duress alarm systems and other security equipment, courtrooms, judge chambers, and jury rooms.</p> <p><u>Perform escort duties:</u>&nbsp;When directed, provide armed escort services for judges, court personnel, jurors, and other designated individuals.</p> <p><u>Perform garage parking and pedestrian control:</u>&nbsp;Where applicable, direct traffic and control lights on court facility properties, as described in the post orders and/or standard operating procedures.</p> <p><u>Enforce law and order:</u>&nbsp;Enforce federal law while in the performance of assigned duties. This includes (but not limited to) detaining any person attempting to gain unauthorized access to Government property, or a court proceeding(s), or attempting to commit acts that imperil the safety and security of Government employees, property, and the public.</p> <p><u>Prepare reports and records:</u>&nbsp;Prepare various reports and records regarding contract performance issues, such as labor hours worked, accidents, fire, bomb threats, unusual incidents, or unlawful acts that occurred within the court facility area.</p> <p><u>Court attendance:</u>&nbsp;Responsible for securing unattended courtrooms, an inspection of courtrooms prior to a proceeding, testing of security devices, and other duties concerning security of the court area.</p> <p><u>Preserve order:</u>&nbsp;Responsible for providing security presence in the courtroom, enforcing federal law and judicial orders within the courtroom, enforcing local court rules regarding prohibited items, and providing protection to court proceedings as circumstances dictate.</p> <p><strong>Requirements</strong></p> </div> <div id="ContentPlaceHolder1_pnlRequirements"> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Education and/or Experience</span>:&nbsp;High school diploma or general education degree (GED). At least three (3) calendar years of verifiable experience as a certified law enforcement officer or its military equivalency&nbsp;(Master-at-Arms, CGPD, Security Forces Specialist, etc.); all three (3) years must have occurred within the last seven (7) years. The experience must have included general arrest authority.</p> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Language Skills:</span>&nbsp;Must have the ability to read, write, speak, and understand English. Must possess the ability to understand, explain, interpret, and apply rules, regulations, directives, and procedures.</p> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:</span><strong>&nbsp;</strong>Must have a valid driver's license from state of residency and a safe driving record for the past five years; Must receive clearance from the Department of Justice. Must have completed or graduated from certified Federal, state, county, local or military law enforcement training academy and able to provide certification as proof.</p> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Other Qualifications:</span>&nbsp;Must be at least 21 years of age; Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.</p> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Physical Demands:</span>&nbsp;Must meet medical standards as specified by the United States Marshal Service (USMS); The physical demands are based on the contract and must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
