Job Summary
The Facilities Maintenance team-member is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and well-maintained operation of all buildings, amenities, and infrastructure throughout the Tacoma Country and Golf Club. This role performs/project leads routine and preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, as well as general repairs to clubhouse, restrooms, kitchens, fitness areas, Golf Shop and pool/spa. The position supports daily club operations by responding to maintenance requests, identifying repair needs, and helping uphold the high standards of cleanliness, functionality, and appearance expected at TCGC.
Working closely with club management, golf operations, and housekeeping teams, the Facilities Maintenance professional helps ensure a seamless experience for members and guests by maintaining equipment reliability and enforcing safety standards. The ideal candidate is service-oriented, skilled in multiple trades, and able to work independently in a fast-paced, member-focused setting.
Duties/Responsibilities
· Perform routine/daily maintenance and repairs on club buildings, including carpentry, painting, flooring, lighting, and structural upkeep (Clubhouse, Golf Shop, Pool/Beach House, Snack Bar, and Golf Maintenance). Inspect buildings and equipment regularly to identify issues, ensure cleanliness, and meet presentation standards
· Troubleshoot and repair plumbing issues (leaks, clogged drains, fixture replacement)
· Inspect, diagnose, and repair basic electrical issues (lighting, outlets, switches, and equipment connections)
· Maintain locks/keys
· Conduct minor HVAC maintenance working with the Club provider
· Maintain and conduct minor kitchen equipment repairs, fitness equipment repairs, and pool equipment repairs
· Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance tasks to reduce equipment failure and prolong asset life
· Maintain accurate records of completed work, inspections and required follow-up
· Monitor facility systems daily for signs of malfunction or safety concerns
· Ensure all common areas are well-maintained, clean, and free of hazards
· Perform seasonal tasks such as winterizing facilities or preparing spaces for peak season
· Coordinate with all Department Managers on maintenance needs
· Respond promptly to work orders and urgent maintenance requests
· Project and Contractor Management while also sustaining vendor relationships; Obtain competitive bids and manage vendor contracts
· Schedule and oversee third-party contractors for specialized maintenance (HVAC, Fire Systems, elevators, security)
· Follow all safety procedures, club policies, and equipment operating guidelines
· Maintain a safe work environment by identifying and addressing hazards
· Ensure all facilities are compliant and meet local, state and federal code and health/safety regulations (All permits are up to date)
· Interact professionally with members, guests, and staff while providing support and maintaining a service-oriented approach
· Report on major issues or required contractor work to the General Manager in a timely manner
· Manage hazardous materials, SDS documentation, and environmental compliance
· All other duties as assigned
Requirements
Qualification Requirements
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· 2–5 years of experience in facilities, building maintenance, or a related trade.
· Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and carpentry fundamentals.
· Ability to use hand tools, power tools, maintenance equipment, and diagnostic devices.
· Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
· Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical work, including climbing ladders and working in confined spaces.
· Standard Monday-Friday schedule with potential flexibility to work weekends, holidays, or evenings as needed for emergencies. Flexible Days

The salary and benefits for this position include:
· Annual Salary $25-32/hour DOE
