The Graphic Designer II role is as a valuable member of the global Art Department, Gallagher’s in-house agency. This position reports directly to AMER Art functional leaders for daily tasks and responsibilities. A flexible design skillset and mindset are required to interpret and execute creative direction effectively. From iterating design concepts to contributing to creative problem-solving and decision-making processes, active participation is essential. Proficiency in design aesthetics and a comprehensive understanding of industry best practices are prerequisites for success in this role.
How you'll make an impact
- Responsible for flawless execution of design concepts and accurate use of brand templates.
- Interprets the creative brief accurately to inform the creation of marketing pieces, including print and digital executions and corporate materials.
- Supports the Art Director and Copywriter in creation of deliverables and ensuring successful representation of the Gallagher brand.
- Efficiently manages a high-volume of production of edits, updates, and revisions to existing production projects or templated creative.
- Ensures that all work produced is accurate, high quality and technically correct.
- Ensures a creative, consistent look and feel that adheres to and supports brand, visual, and messaging standards.
- Continuously self-educating on best practices, industry trends and techniques and proactively uses the global Art Department team as a knowledge resource through questions and constructive feedback.
About you
Skills
- Solid understanding of fundamental design principles, including composition, typography, color theory, and layout, to create visually compelling and effective designs.
- Takes initiative and responsibility for their work, and actively seeks ways to add value to every project they're involved in.
- Extremely organized, manages large volume of projects and workflow to ensure meeting strict deadlines.
- A team player who works collaboratively and respectfully with the global Art Department and its stakeholders.
Requirements
- Associate or bachelor's degree in visual communications, graphic design or similar
- 5+ years of related work experience in an agency or an agency-like environment
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign and Photoshop a must) and current graphic design tools and techniques required
- Professional and conversational fluency in English is a must
