Our culture ensures everyone checks their egos at the door and stands ready to reach for success together.&nbsp;</p> <p>Founded in Israel in 2010, Tipalti is a global business headquartered in the San Francisco Bay Area (Foster City) with offices in Tel Aviv, Plano, Toronto, Vancouver, London, Amsterdam, Tbilisi and Medellin.</p> <p><br><strong>In this role, you will be responsible for:</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Design, build, and optimize</strong> scalable, reliable, and secure backend services in <strong>Go (Golang)</strong>.<br><br></li> <li>Develop and maintain <strong>microservices</strong> that handle connectivity and data synchronization between systems.<br><br></li> <li>Build resilient and observable systems using <strong>AWS</strong>, <strong>Docker</strong>, and <strong>Kubernetes</strong>.<br><br></li> <li>Design and manage <strong>PostgreSQL</strong> databases with a focus on performance, reliability, and data integrity.<br><br></li> <li>Work with <strong>queues and messaging systems</strong> (AWS SQS/SNS, Kafka, RabbitMQ) to ensure reliable communication between services.<br><br></li> <li><strong>Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve complex issues</strong> across multiple services and environments.<br><br></li> <li><strong>Investigate and fix production incidents and performance bottlenecks, ensuring system stability, uptime, and data freshness.</strong><br><br></li> <li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, DevOps, Data) to design, deliver, and maintain high-quality solutions.<br><br></li> <li>Participate in <strong>architecture discussions</strong>, <strong>code reviews</strong>, and <strong>continuous improvement initiatives</strong></li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>About you&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>5+ years</strong> of backend engineering experience in production environments.<br><br></li> <li><strong>2+ years</strong> of hands-on experience with <strong>Go (Golang)</strong>.<br><br></li> <li>Strong understanding of <strong>microservice architecture</strong> and <strong>scalable system design</strong>.<br><br></li> <li>Proven experience with <strong>PostgreSQL</strong> or other relational databases.<br><br></li> <li>Solid knowledge of <strong>Docker</strong>, <strong>AWS</strong>, and <strong>cloud-native development</strong>.<br><br></li> <li>Familiarity with <strong>message queues</strong>, <strong>event-driven architecture</strong>, and asynchronous workflows.<br><br></li> <li>Deep understanding of <strong>debugging</strong>, <strong>troubleshooting</strong>, and <strong>root cause analysis</strong> in distributed systems.<br><br></li> <li>Experience maintaining and improving <strong>system observability</strong> (logs, metrics, tracing).<br><br></li> <li>Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to take full ownership of issues through resolution.<br><br></li> </ul> <h3><strong>Nice to Have</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Experience with <strong>Kubernetes</strong>, <strong>Helm</strong>, or <strong>Terraform/CDK</strong>.<br><br></li> <li>Background in <strong>fintech</strong>, <strong>data aggregation</strong>, or <strong>connectivity</strong> platforms.<br><br></li> <li>Experience integrating with <strong>banking APIs</strong> or <strong>third-party financial systems</strong>.</li> <li>Familiarity with <strong>TypeScript</strong>.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Our tech teams are the engine behind our business.
