About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team supporting operations across Arizona, New Mexico and Oregon – with the flexibility to work remotely!

We are looking for a Buyer/Planner who can work fully remote, with an advantage for candidates who are able to travel once per month to one of our warehouses if located within the vicinity of one of the warehouses.

Candidates located anywhere in the U.S. are welcome to apply. Preference will be given to those residing in Arizona, New Mexico or Oregon or nearby, or those who can travel monthly if required.

Reporting to one of our Site Managers, the Buyer/Planner at U.P.PRO will work closely within a team of 9-12 people to manage inventory availability and reverse logistics.

Responsibilities

Inventory Management:

  • Interact with customers and suppliers on all daily operational issues.
  • Align with customer/supplier on inventory levels and forecast consumption.
  • Analyze inventory consumption trends.
  • Update inventory levels and document the reasons for changes in the customer BOM.
  • Manage on-time deliveries according to agreed parameters.
  • Investigate and report High Risk/Zero Bin incidents.
  • Manage disposition and removal of Dead/Excess inventory and record associated cost savings.
  • Schedule, facilitate, and manage regular BOM (Bill of Material) review meetings.

Purchasing:

  • Make purchasing decisions, place POs, and manage orders created in the system to meet required inventory levels.
  • Generate Goods Receipt (GR) if applicable and resolve any GR discrepancies.
  • Manage and resolve any issues from PO placement to receipt or warehouse discrepancies impacting availability.



Requirements

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications are preferred.

Experience:

  • 2–3 years of purchasing or supply chain experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment or related field.
  • Background in a KPI-driven work environment.
  • Warehouse experience is an advantage.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Strong data analytics capabilities.
  • Team player with a collaborative attitude.
  • Project management experience and ability to lead initiatives to closure.
  • High level of customer service orientation.


Availability

  • Weekdays, Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.
  • Occasional remote evening (5 PM–10 PM) and weekend/holiday coverage (8 AM–10 PM), compensated.
  • Advantage for candidates who can travel once a month to one of our warehouse in the Chandler Arizona, Rio Rancho New Mexico or Portland, Oregon , areas.
