Our legendary bakery “Izzio” (est. 1994) is named after owner and head baker Maurizio Negrini, a third-generation baker from Bologna, Italy. We rely on true artisan baking methods, shaping bread’s by hand and using only the necessary ancient ingredients without the help of modern processing aids, additives or preservatives. We aspire to create deep and complex flavors through traditional methods of controlled and extended fermentation, with some doughs resting as long as 72 hours prior to baking. This lengthy process allows our breads to naturally extract the essence of every ingredient resulting in bread’s that are full of flavor and aroma and are also gentler to our bodies because they are easier to digest. Our custom built European ovens bake at very high temperatures which give our bread’s porous interiors and dark, crusty exteriors. Position Summary


Izzio Artisan Bakery is looking for a dynamic, energetic Regional Sales Manager to drive and support our sales efforts throughout our Food Service distribution segment. Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Food Service Sales, the candidate will drive an acceleration of business performance by prospecting, developing, and managing new and existing sales opportunities, solidifying customer partnerships, growing market share, and ensuring profitable and sustainable growth for izzio Artisan Bakery. The Regional Sales Manager will also be responsible for managing all aspects of the business including travel if needed, management of brokers, representing the Izzio Artisan Bakery at various food and trade shows, and submitting reports capturing activity and results.

Essential Functions

  • Directs and manages the implementation of customer contracts, announcements, and promotions, setting sales objectives and standards, completing deductions and bill backs.
  • Maintains customer relationships by presenting promotional opportunities, attending food shows and other events, and performing other duties as required.
  • Secure new accounts by making cold calls, conducting research into new accounts, sending product samples, meeting with contacts, and performing other duties as required.
  • Develop and maintain sales materials and current product knowledge.
  • Manage account services through quality checks and other follow-ups. Identify and resolve customer concerns.
  • Consistently deliver on agreed targets for case volume, net sales, and revenue growth.
  • Implement and drive go-to-market strategies and supporting tactics.
  • Develop new business opportunities and relationships with key customer targets which result in increased revenue and profitability for Izzio Artisan Bakery.
  • Collaborate with customer and distributor partners to develop sound sales execution plans that drive value and growth.
  • Provide "Day to Day" account management, including rapid turn-around & effective resolution on operational, logistical, and pricing issues.
  • Ability to manage and deliver multiple projects simultaneously, while keeping the company’s long-term goals in mind when addressing short-term issues


Requirements

Position Requirements

  • Three (3) to five (5) years of regional/territory sales experience in Food Service distribution sales required, preferably in an Artisan Bakery setting.
  • Strong sales and marketing acumen. Energetic, proactive, takes calculated risks, and perseveres to attain goals.
  • Experience in sales planning and tactical execution.
  • Position requires extensive travel and the willingness to work a flexible schedule.
  • The successful candidate will be a “Hunter” first, with a strong farming ability.
  • Previously demonstrated success in achieving incremental product placement with operators and distributors resulting from specific initiatives.
  • Ability to survive, thrive in opportunistic and entrepreneurial environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and spoken communication and presentation skills needed.
  • Proficient in MS Office, specifically PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.

Compensation is based on level of experience and other requirements of the position. The range provided serves only as a guideline and does not automatically qualify all candidates (internal or external) for the high end of the range.


Position Reports to: Sr. Director, Foodservice Sales

Location:  Must be located in the West Region (CO, AZ or NV) Required 

$90,000 to $110,000 - Bonus potential 10% of base compensation.
