About the Role

This is a remote position.


Part-time 1  Mon.Tues, Wed,Thurs, Sat and Sun 
5pm - 9pm PST 24 hours a week


Part-time 2 
Wed 2:30pm - 9:00 pm (30 minute break)
Sat and Sun 8am - 5pm  (30 minute break)
PST



Job Description: You’ll be the professional voice of a premium medical practice during the critical hours when patients need support most. This role offers the unique opportunity to represent a luxury healthcare brand, providing exceptional service to discerning patients during after-hours and weekends when immediate, professional response makes all the difference. You’ll play a vital role in maintaining the practice’s reputation for excellence while potentially expanding your responsibilities as you demonstrate success.

Responsibilities:

  • Answer incoming patient calls during after-hours and weekend periods with exceptional professionalism
  • Provide concierge-level customer service that matches the practice’s luxury brand standards
  • Handle patient inquiries, concerns, and escalations with care and medical sensitivity
  • Respond promptly to leads and inquiries that come in during off-hours
  • Maintain HIPAA compliance in all patient interactions and data handling
  • Document calls and patient information accurately in practice systems
  • Escalate urgent medical situations appropriately to on-call providers
  • Build patient confidence and trust through knowledgeable, compassionate communication

Requirements:

  • Strong healthcare or medical background with understanding of medical terminology
  • Excellent customer service skills with experience serving demanding, high-expectation clients
  • HIPAA certification and thorough understanding of patient privacy requirements
  • Professional phone manner and communication skills suitable for luxury service environment
  • Experience with patient intake, scheduling, or medical reception preferred
  • Bonus if you have ophthalmology, LASIK, or surgical practice experience
  • It helps if you’re comfortable working Pacific Time after-hours and weekend schedules
