About the Role

Description

Exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced medical team within a growing federally qualified community health center. HealthFirst Family Care Center, Inc. “The Heart of Our Community” provides comprehensive services including adult/pediatric medical care, health education, health assessment and screenings, gynecology, cardiology, behavioral health, substance use treatment, and adult/pediatric dental care. 


Pediatric LICSW Summary:

Under the general supervision of the Behavioral Health Director, the Pediatric LICSW’s function is to provide assessment, consultation, case management, behavior health treatment and resource acquisition to patients, clients, parents/guardians referred by the providers. This position is responsible for providing social work/mental health services to patients needing medical, financial and general life-style assistance; interviews patients/clients individually, in families, or in groups, assessing their situations, capabilities, and problems to determine what services are required to meet their needs; and provides appropriate case management, counseling, referral, and follow-up services for patients.


Schedule:

Mon – Fri: 8:30 am – 5:00 pm


Pay Range:

$83,220 to $93,850 annually


Required Qualifications:

  1. Master’s Degree in Social Work or Psychology from an accredited college or university.
  2. Massachusetts state license as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) is required.
  3. At least 2 years post LICSW experience in pediatric social work.
  4. Satisfactory completion of continuing education credits as mandated by any professional boards, licensing agencies, or credential organizations.
  5. Bi-lingual preferred.
  6. Maintain CPR certification.
  7. Must submit a CORI Release Form and demonstrate proof of being free from disqualifying information and finger printing to work in the SBHC if needed.
  8. Must have a valid driver’s license and access to an insured vehicle as some transportation may be required.
  9. Community health or clinical background preferred.


Competencies:

  1. The Pediatric LICSW must have a high level of customer service and a positive approach to work with pediatric patients and parents/guardians. Projects positive attitude about the department and the health center and offers services to ensure positive experience.
  2. Ability to maintain an organized work area and work collaboratively as a member of a team.
  3. Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills and time management skills to effectively communicate with patients and other providers.
  4. Ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner.
  5. Works well under pressure to manage stressful situations.
  6. Uses sound judgment and confidence in their practice. 
  7. Abides by the Code of Ethics outlined by the National Association of Social Workers.
  8. Ability to multi- task.
  9. Detail-oriented and accurate.
