The Account Resolution Representative will contact members regarding delinquent accounts to negotiate payment arrangements and educate them on resolving current and future delinquencies. They will also maintain accurate collection notes and assist members in modifying loans and repayments.

About the Role

Description

Hours: 9:30 am – 6:30 pm, Monday – Friday w/ some Saturdays

Pay: $19.50/hr or more DOE + monthly bonus and incentive.


Your Purpose will be:

The person in this position will collect outstanding balances on delinquent loan and share accounts. Educate members to resolve current delinquency and prevent future delinquency. Also, every employee is responsible for fulfilling our Mission Statement: To improve the financial well-being of our members, while providing world class service.


What you’ll do:

  • Contact members with loan and/or account delinquency by phone, letters, and emails to negotiate payment arrangements.
  • Answer inbound calls from members regarding delinquency.
  • Maintain up to date and accurate collection notes.
  • Post member payments made by telephone.
  • Track accounts with negative shares and loans for payment and prepare for charge off if not paid.
  • Educate members on Overdraft Privilege Option.
  • Identify and inform management of potential underwriting problems.
  • Posting payments to accounts.
  • Gathering information to assist struggling members to modify loans and repayments.
  • Understands the Bank Secrecy Act and how it is applied.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

The experience you need to succeed:

  • One month to twelve months of similar or related experience.
  • Must be fluent in both English and Spanish.
  • Must have High School diploma or equivalent G.E.D.
  • Proficient with standard office business machinery and software. With working experience of Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

  • Works in an office environment.

A computer, phone, and standard office equipment are normal tools for this position. Specific vision abilities that may be required by this job include close vision and distance vision. The employee may at times also need to: climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
