Job Responsibilities
- Quantity Surveyor role in hydro power projects.
- Preparing conceptual, budget and final construction cost estimates.
- Cost planning to establish optimum price value against design development.
- Preparing tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities (BoQ) and other documentation.
- Pricing/forecasting the cost of the different materials needed for the project.
- Tracking changes to the design and/or construction work and adjusting budget projections accordingly.
- Measurement and value the work done.
- Financial contract administration including preparation, evaluation and submission of interim and final progress payment claims.
- Measurement and evaluation of change orders.
- Preparation of contractual correspondence and claims like Extension of Time, etc.
- Selecting and/or sourcing construction materials.
- Co-ordinating with the project team in relation to project issues, especially cost and contract matters.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or higher in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Civil Engineering or related fields.
- Minimum 5-10 years’ experience in quality surveyor.
- Experience in hydropower would be an advantage.
- Worked in a global construction consultancy, with exposure to multiple projects; experience on the contractor and/or developer side will also be considered.
- Well-developed technical skills, for example preparing tender. documents, estimates and cost plans, measurement from drawings, etc.
- Fluent in English both written and verbal (Minimum 750 TOEIC score).
- Ability to travel/work upcountry and abroad.
